Matthew Coyne, DMin
Matt has been in ministry for 15 years, and each step of the journey God has taken him to small-town churches. Not only does Matt have a passion for small-town ministry, God has gifted him to understand how small-town ministry functions. God placed the idea for RE:CHURCH (the name wasn't there yet) on Matt's heart almost 5 years ago while serving in Sturgeon Bay, WI. There, he saw the need for revitalization in small-towns, but realized quickly many of the churches could not afford to hire a consultant. He thought to himself, "What if I could provide this service for free?!"
That dream turned into a reality when he met Ryan Schraffenberger, who crossed paths with Matt in Manton, MI. One day, around a cup of coffee, Matt was telling Ryan his dream of RE:CHURCH, and Ryan quickly caught the passion and offered to journey alongside Matt in prayer, financially, and the consulting process itself.
From there, the dream grew into reality, and here we are today!
Matt received his MDiv in Church Leadership and DMin in Church Revitalization from Liberty School of Divinity. Matt is also a Certified Consultant through Thom Rainer's Church Answers.
